Instreamatic Inc. (“Instreamatic,” “we”, or “us”) is an audio ad serving tech company. We enable publishers and advertisers to interact their audience by providing voice based user interaction with the publishers and advertisers audio and audio-visual content. Our customers use our solutions to deliver relevant online user interaction into their streams.

The following sets forth the privacy practices and policy (“Privacy Policy”) related to the business we operate. It covers all data on website visitors/listeners that we collect for the purpose of delivering and enhancing our services. We are committed to protecting consumer privacy by informing you of what information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we may share it. We adhere to the Privacy Principles adopted by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).

What information do we collect to perform our services?

We collect or receive data from our customers (publishers/advertisers) in order to interact with you about the ads you might be interested in. This data includes but is not limited to browser identifier, wireless carrier, IP address, device type (website player, smartphone apps, media player, etc.) and browsing information. We may collect information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, type of mobile browser, software and file names, versions, preferred language, advertising identifiers, microphone and/or voice information, real-time location (based on information provided by your device OS), and mobile network information.

We receive information about consumers from third parties to enable targeted advertising on the website(s) and application(s) that we support. The collection and use of that data is governed by the privacy policy and legal terms of the data collector and the website using the data; it is not governed by Instreamatic.

We also measure the exposure and engagement to online advertising campaign: number of impressions, number of clicks, numbers of users exposed, percentage of ad content played. We retain information on the ads that we served to you on a website or application and we reuse that information to deliver new ads when you visit another website or application on which we may also serve ads. We collect information such as your reaction to the ad (skip the ad, click on the ad) for statistical reporting purposes or to limit serving you additional ads.

Furthermore, we collect and use only non-PII that does not directly or in combination with other information identify you as an individual. We may also obtain non-PII from third party data vendors that receive such non-PII pursuant to their own privacy policies. We do not collect PII via our advertising technology. The information we collect in providing our services is meant to be traced back to a specific individual only for the purposes of the voice interaction and possibly for related transactions with the user.

How do we use this information?

We process the voice data to enable user interaction with the publishers’ and advertisers’ content, including offering the ability to purchase specific programming or items during the voice interaction.  Such voice data is retained for an appropriate amount of time for the processing of the requested transactions and any further period for purposes of the transaction and maintaining a legal record of the transactions.

We also process the data to find elements that will help us determine which products/services could be relevant to you and to improve the quality of the ads you’ll be served. For example, we may use the geo-location data to determine potential likelihood to listen to an ad or we may use the data collected to prevent the same ads to be served to you repeatedly.

We also use the information we collect to maintain, improve and develop new services. We finally deliver a list of anonymous user identifiers and produce reports and analytics for our business partners.

Disclosure of information

We share anonymous user identifiers and aggregated information with established 3rd party publishers/advertisers such as the number of users who visited a publisher site, or the number of users who listened to a particular ad, strictly for serving advertisements.

We may share information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Instreamatic if we have a good-faith belief that we are obligated to do so by law or as necessary to protect ourselves or others.

We may allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use their own cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify your device when you visit our site and use our Services, as well as when you visit other online sites and services.

Finally, we may transfer information in our possession to a successor entity in connection with a corporate change in control such as a merger or acquisition or the sale of company assets.

Other Website

Through our services, we may link to other websites operated by other companies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these linked websites. Each website should be checked for its own privacy policy.

We do not exercise control over the manner in which our business partners label their custom data segments, but as applicable, we encourage our business partners to adhere to self-regulatory codes offered by the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), and/or certain other industry standards.

Data security

We take all reasonable measures to protect the information we collect and store. All data is stored in a secure facility and we strictly control access to the data.
